Our client at Verulam is looking for a Line Manager/Factory Supervisor to join their team Duties as a Line Manager/Factory Supervisor – FMCG

Supervise and manage daily production activities on the factory floor.

Ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved efficiently.

Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production machinery and equipment.

Allocate employees to production lines, workstations, and shifts.

Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, productivity, and performance.

Ensure employees follow company policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Maintain high standards of Food Safety, Quality, Health & Safety, and Hygiene.

Conduct regular inspections of production areas and machinery.

Identify and report machinery breakdowns and production problems.

Work closely with the maintenance team to minimise downtime.

Monitor raw material usage and minimise wastage.

Ensure finished products meet the required quality standards.

Complete and maintain production records, checklists, and shift reports.

Manage shift handovers and communicate production issues to management.

Train, coach, and guide production employees.

Address employee performance and disciplinary issues in accordance with company procedures.

Ensure PPE is worn and safety procedures are followed at all times.

Investigate production variances, defects, and quality issues.

Assist with stock control and ensure materials are available for production.

Monitor production line efficiency and recommend improvements.

Ensure the factory and production areas are kept clean and organised.

Implement and maintain 5S/housekeeping standards where applicable.

Liaise with Quality Control, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Operations teams.

Prepare daily/weekly production reports for management.

Ensure compliance with FMCG, food safety, and company standards.

Assist management with continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Requirements:

Must have Matric and Qualification
Must reside in Verulam or surrounding areas
