The Original Chimney Sweep is looking for a practical HVAC, ventilation, ducting, or maintenance technician to join our chimney, fireplace, and cowl installation team.

This position is ideal for someone with experience in air conditioning, HVAC assistance, ducting, extraction cleaning, ventilation, roofing, waterproofing, maintenance, or general technical installation work.

Training will be provided in chimney sweeping, fireplace maintenance, chimney cowl installation, flue inspections, and fireplace-related work.

Duties include chimney sweeping, fireplace maintenance, cowl installation, flue inspections, working with airflow and draft problems, working on roofs and ladders, using brushes, rods, vacuums, hand tools and power tools, protecting customer property, taking job photos, and reporting faults to management.

Requirements:

HVAC, ducting, ventilation, extraction, aircon, roofing, maintenance, or installation experience preferred
Must be comfortable working at heights
Must be practical and good with tools
Must be physically fit
Must be reliable and punctual
Must have sober habits
Must be neat and respectful in customers’ homes
Valid driver’s licence will be an advantage

This is a full-time position based from Table View, Cape Town.
