The Department of Technology and Vocational Education in the Faculty of Humanities
seeks to appoint Part-Time Markers for the 2026 academic year.
INSTRUCTIONS: Applicants are required to submit, together with the CVs, a fully

Document. Failure to comply with this instruction will disqualify the candidate. Candidates

Key performance areas/Core functions:
• Must have knowledge of the above subjects.
• Must be a strategic and innovative thinker, with excellent conceptualization and
analytical skills in the Further Education and Training bands.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Should demonstrate academic skills in the curricula processes in accordance with the
current MRTEQ requirements.

• Must be able to work interdependently with others and be a self-starter in marking and
learning activities of Further Education and Training.
• Must meet deadlines in the allocated tasks.
Minimum requirements:
Academic qualifications:
• A master’s degree in education.
• An Honours degree in the subject that is applied for.
• A Doctorate degree in Education will be an added advantage.
Experience:
• Two Years teaching at a Tertiary institution in Education Department.
• Knowledge in the following areas of study: Specialized in or have taught in the Further
Education and Training (FET) Phase and Technical and Vocational Education and
Training (TVET) for at least 2 years at the university level.
• Previous marking experience at the tertiary education institution will be an added
advantage.
