Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Mechanic / Branch Supervisor. This role combines senior mechanical responsibilities with branch supervision, staff coordination, and operational oversight. The successful candidate will be a practical leader who can work independently, manage priorities, and ensure high standards across the workshop and branch operations.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical & Technical Duties

Perform skilled mechanical maintenance and repairs on motorhomes and company vehicles
Conduct scheduled maintenance, fault finding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
Assist with breakdowns within reasonable timeframes
Apply basic auto-electrical knowledge where required
Ensure vehicles are roadworthy, safe, and compliant
Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and housekeeping standards
Branch & Supervisory Duties

Supervise daily branch and workshop operations
Coordinate and oversee mechanics and workshop staff
Allocate work, monitor productivity, and ensure deadlines are met
Support and guide staff with technical and operational issues
Liaise with head office regarding operations, reporting, and requirements
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and procedures
Take responsibility for branch efficiency, professionalism, and customer service
Minimum Requirements

Red Seal with at least 3 years’ mechanical and technical experience
(diesel/mechanical background)
Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
Valid driver’s licence and passport (Code 10 advantageous)
Basic auto-electrical knowledge
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
Willingness to work overtime when required
Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and accountability
Leadership ability with good communication and problem-solving skills
