Mechanical fitter or Millwright assessor
Job summary
Development,implementation and improvement of day-to-day Training operations. Develop and
maintain adequate staff and training material. Assess training needs of various projects. Oversee and
manage the training
Responsibilities
Develop and implement an engaging and effective project training plan in compliance with contract and
client
Requirements;
Develop team/ department-specific trainings, with assistance of the Project Director, using
desired performance metrics as outcome targets;
Conduct and /or attend all department trainings to ensure compliance with state and office policies
and procedures;
Develop and implement control measures for the project training program;
Develop an initial and ongoing training schedule, in conjunction with department supervisors, for
continuous professional development of new and existing staff;
Communicate with department staff regarding team level questions related to quality findings;
Provide monthly team and/ or individual statistics to Project Director in accordance with
established timeframes;
Ensure the confidentiality and security of all case information; and Complete other
projects tasks assigned by Management as deemed appropriate and/or necessary.
Maintain records and monitor progress of employees. Continuously researching to determine if there
are other options/systems that we can connect with or to.
Work in conjunction with department heads to assure that the Training Department has the latest and
most up to date policies and procedures.
Host webinars no less than quarterly with industry changes and updates.
Requirements
5+ years’ experience in training and development industry or related field
Formal Training qualification (Facilitator, Assessor, and Moderator)
Trade tested artisan.
Experience with implementing educational strategies
Demonstrates strong communication skills and experience with instructional design strategies for
users with varying skill sets as well as experience with developing training
modules and materials in a variety of formats.
Possesses a professional proactive approach to problem solving; reliability; and the
ability to rapidly learn new technologies and processes
Ability to develop training courses in a variety of formats as well as supporting documentation
and job aids
Experience with writing and/or maintaining documentation such as user manuals, reference guides.
Experience working independently, pro-actively completing project activities; communicating with
subject matter experts; and making recommendations for improvements in training
strategies
Strong computer and technical skills required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
