Lilly Haematology Centre is seeking a suitably qualified Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team. If you are professional, organized, and have experience in a medical practice environment, we welcome your application.

Key Responsibilities:

 Manage patient/client appointments via telephone and email

 Coordinate with the doctor’s diary and schedule

 Accurately capture patient details using practice management software

 File patient records and test results efficiently

 Receive, sign for, and unpack medical stock

 Manage stock, sundries, and perform monthly stock counts

 Invoice for consultations and procedures, accept payments, and issue receipts

 Verify payments and manage petty cash

 Obtain medical authorizations (e.g., hospitalizations, chemotherapy plans)

 Ensure high standards of communication and professional etiquette

Educational & Experience Requirements:

 Grade 12 (or equivalent)

 Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical practice environment

 Post-matric qualification in a related field (advantageous)

 Knowledge of POPI Act compliance in healthcare

 Valid Code 08 driver’s license

Key Competencies & Skills:

 Polite, friendly, and professional demeanor

 Excellent verbal and written communication in English

 Strong multitasking and organizational skills

 Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

 Billing software experience (advantageous)

 Well-groomed with a professional appearance
