Lilly Haematology Centre is seeking a suitably qualified Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team. If you are professional, organized, and have experience in a medical practice environment, we welcome your application.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage patient/client appointments via telephone and email
Coordinate with the doctor’s diary and schedule
Accurately capture patient details using practice management software
File patient records and test results efficiently
Receive, sign for, and unpack medical stock
Manage stock, sundries, and perform monthly stock counts
Invoice for consultations and procedures, accept payments, and issue receipts
Verify payments and manage petty cash
Obtain medical authorizations (e.g., hospitalizations, chemotherapy plans)
Ensure high standards of communication and professional etiquette
Educational & Experience Requirements:
Grade 12 (or equivalent)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical practice environment
Post-matric qualification in a related field (advantageous)
Knowledge of POPI Act compliance in healthcare
Valid Code 08 driver’s license
Key Competencies & Skills:
Polite, friendly, and professional demeanor
Excellent verbal and written communication in English
Strong multitasking and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Billing software experience (advantageous)
Well-groomed with a professional appearance
