Description

The Department of Facilities Management in the Directorate of Logistical Services seeks to
appoint two (2) Moving Team Leaders who will be responsible for providing effective movement
of furniture and equipmemts for the University. This is a one year fixed-term contract based at
Giyani Campus.
INSTRUCTIONS: Applicants are required to submit together with the CVs, a standardized
application form available from the university intranet as well as recently certified copies of
qualifications and Identity Document. Failure to comply with this instruction will disqualify the
candidate. Candidates may be subjected to appropriate psychometric testing and other selection
instruments. Applicants who previously applied are encouraged to reapply. Kindly note that
these positions are open exclusively to Limpopo Province residents therefore, applicants
primarily residing in the said Province will be given priority.
Key performance areas/Core functions:
• Ensure that all equipments moved are protected and not damaged in any way
• Ensure that policies are adhered to before moving equipments
• Ensure that all furniture and or equipment that are stored are stacked in a safe way as
prescribed on the Occupational Health and Safety rules.
• Ensure that facilities where furniture or equipment is moved from or to is left secure
• Ensure that protective clothing and equipment is used as prescribed
• Ensure that timelines and targets dates are adhered to.
Academic Qualification:
• NQF level 1/ General Education and Training
• Grade 9/Abet level 4
Experience:
• One (1) year relevant experience
Other special requirements
• Physical ability to perform physical work as well as inspection
• Required to work after hours
• Drivers’ license

Knowledge and Skills
• Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Basic Knowledge of different movement methods and relevant supporting services
equipments
• Communication
• Customer Service
