Logan Medical and Surgical (Pty) Ltd is a leading manufacturer and distributor of medical and surgical supplies. We are seeking a Paper Bag Machine Operator, with experience in making SO bags, for our factory in Cornubia, Durban.

The position is available immediately.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Setting, operating, maintaining and
troubleshooting the paper bag machine;

- Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards,
safety protocols and company SOP’s;

- Completing production orders at a high
efficiency rate and with a high raw material yield;

- Performing regular quality checks on finished
product;

- Providing on-the-job training to junior machine operators;

- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace;

- Attending to related administrative tasks
(maintenance records, production records, job cards, QC logs, hazard/incident reports etc.)

Qualifications,

skills and experience:

- Matric / Grade 12

- 3-5 years paper bag or similar machine operating
experience is preferred

- Attention to detail and ability to work under
pressure

- Willingness to learn and to teach

- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills are essential

- Good verbal and written communication
