Description

A vacancy exists for a Pharmacy Stock Controller based at Life Anncron Hospital, reporting to Pharmacy Manager, Annecke Barnard. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring quality pharmaceutical services, financial objectives; legislative compliance and people management requirements are achieved to the required standards. A key part of the role will be ensuring optimal stock management in all units through effective interdepartmental liaising, communication and administrative support to the pharmacy team.

Critical Outputs
Managing the surgical stores department
Managing the control and distribution of surgical stock to internal units
Participating in achieving required customer service levels in theatre and wards
Participate in achieving stock management KPI’s
Assist with planning and executing stock take in all units
Assist in planning and executing including investigating variances in pharmacy
Management of deadstock, overstock and negative stock in pharmacy Assisting with system and code maintenance Implementing and maintaining the LHC formulary.
Assist with the management of product complaints
Facilitate the communicate of product and supplier changes or “out of stocks” to relevant inventory staff and nursing units Capturing of all pharmacy and theatre invoices in set time
Bi-weekly follow up on outstanding orders and escalation of concerns
Assist with management of non-recoverable in setting targets
Assist in maintaining MRI6, GRIR and Unrecorded Liability targets
Ensuring a culture of quality in our business and operational excellence.
Assisting with pharmacy related queries
General administrative functions as requested
Establish and maintain a good relationship with Doctors and Staff.

Requirements

Grade 12
Computer literacy and sound knowledge of SAP will be advantageous
Ability to communicate effectively
Responsible and Mature, Team Player, Reliable and trustworthy, customer excellence
Good interpersonal skills. Must be customer orientated with a commitment towards continuous improvement.
Candidate will need to be self-motivated and self-disciplined. Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure. 2 years’ experience within stock management
Private Healthcare experience will be beneficial
