Description
The Directorate of Health and Wellness, in the EMC portfolio of Student Affairs and Extra Curricular Development, seeks to appoint a Professional Nurse. This is a one year fixed-term
contract based at Giyani Campus.
INSTRUCTIONS: Applicants are required to submit together with the CVs, a standardized
application form available from the university intranet as well as recently certified copies of
qualifications and Identity Document. Failure to comply with this instruction will disqualify the
candidate. Candidates may be subjected to appropriate psychometric testing and other selection
instruments. Applicants who previously applied are encouraged to reapply. Kindly note that
these positions are open exclusively to Limpopo Province residents therefore, applicants
primarily residing in the said Province will be given priority.
Critical Performance Areas:
• Provision of a comprehensive, promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative primary
healthcare service to students.
• Offer on-going educational training and developmental talks and seminars to students.
• Patient record keeping.
• Assist the Health and Wellness staff to promote various health campaigns and projects.
• Assist Health and Wellness staff to disseminate information.
• Assist in compiling a standard operating procedure manual.
• Offer emergency services to staff and students.
• Assist in monitoring and evaluating the Health and Wellness program.
• Provision of HIV, Counselling and testing and treatment.
• Engage in community outreach projects.
Minimum Requirements:
• Three-year Nursing qualification/NQF level 6 .
• Certificate in Dispensing
• Certificate in HIV Management
Minimum Experience:
• Three-years relevant experience in primary health care and HIV Services.
