A vacancy exists for a Registered Nurse - Trauma Experienced at Life Queenstown Hospital, reporting to the Unit Manager, Bilumon Jacob. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective functioning of the unit and ensuring quality nursing care.

 

Critical Outputs

Assist the unit to meet the requirements of quality patient care, ensuring that nursing care activities are carried out to comply with SANC regulations, relevant legislation and Life Health Care policies and procedures.

A commitment to practicing nursing as guided by the latest international guidelines of evidence-based health care is essential.

The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

The ability to carry out tasks delegated by the Unit Manager/ Dr and also support students allocated in the unit

Requirements

 

Relevant Degree or Diploma in Nursing and registered with SANC.

Strong customer orientation, team player, very energetic and well organised

Must be able to work under pressure in a continuously changing environment

Strong Interpersonal skills required

Must be willing to fulfil a role in the unit according to the flexi-hours system and call system

Previous trauma experience is desirable although not essential.
