Job Description

Leading supplier of filling and packing equipment to the Food & Beverage, Lube Oil and Chemical industries in Southern and Eastern Africa, seeks to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Sales Manager. Based in Johannesburg.

 

For the position you would be required to have:

 

Tertiary technical/ engineering qualification

10 years’ experience in packaging machinery industry (PET bottle blow moulding, liquid filling, shrink-wrapping & cartoning, palletisers)

Around 5 years proven experience in selling these machines

Experience selling capital equipment into neighbouring Southern African countries a definite advantage

Able and willing to travel internationally

Understanding of technical and commercial customer requirements

Valid driver's license and passport

Responsibilities would include you to:

 

Sell all filling and packaging equipment

Market the company’s offering through digital and conventional means including via its website, emails, exhibitions, etc.

Establish new potential clients and markets

Keep frequent contact with existing clients

Report frequently on sales activity

Monitor competitor activity and compile regular reports

Update company technical staff on new products, upgrades, etc.

Attend trade exhibitions

Compile regular news items and advise clients website

Initiate and execute other social media marketing and sales strategies.

Promote the company’s after sales service during client visits

Develop and manage additional sales executives as and when required.
