Deserving candidates should have:
• Minimum work experience of 5-10year and a proven track record in sales and marketing of industrial Chemicals and Food Ingredients
• Responsible for the growth of the division, reporting directly to the Director.
Scope of work involved as follows:
- Build up multi-level relations with customers and increase market penetration and coverage. The candidate should be sales focused, with a strong understanding of the market, customers and product applications.
- Assess the market, prepare a sales forecast ,secure orders ,monitor and analyse sales performance against allocated yearly budgets.
- Identify new growth business opportunities in the chemicals & food ingredients division and subsequently plan & execute the strategy by bringing in new customers & introducing new products.
- Coordinate with the import logistics /supply chain team to ensure that the products are delivered on time to customers & sufficient stocks are maintained.
- Plan regular customer visits to generate higher business and prepare market intelligence/ customer visit reports covering consumer trends, competition, new product developments, customer information etc.
- Ability to promptly handle customer complaints (if any) and ensure proactive measures are taken to avoid repetition.
- Inculcate healthy relationships with the companies Principals (that it is representing in South Africa) and collaboratively formulate win-win strategies for sales pf their products in South Africa region. Also, effectively manage agencies Principals that are in the food ingredients & chemicals industry.
- The candidate must be a self-starter, quick learner ,determined & willing to take own initiative, must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal & written), organization and leadership skills.
- Technical background with qualifications in chemistry, food science/technology, chemical engineering or a similar field will be preferred but not necessary.
- Should have excellent working knowledge in using basic computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
