Job Description

Business Representative -JHB


You will be responsible for servicing existing Independent client base as well as selected Retail Businesses (Hardware, retails etc). Expanding the business by bringing in new business. Sales function includes building of displays, promotions, training, listing of products and promoting the business.




Education / Experience


Proficient in English

Minimum 5 years in Sales

Previous experience in Garden Equipment – an advantage

Strong account management and relationship building experience

In store merchandising

Technical experience – an advantage

Competencies required


Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to think strategically and critically

Proficient in Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Aptitude / Style required


An organized approach to working

Key responsibilities


Perform according to and achieving objectives established in the Company’s strategic plan

Achieve the budgeted turnover for the assigned account(s)

Develop, maintain and improve business relationships with customers of the Company

Collaborate closely with the marketing team on developing new promotions and services for customers

Develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with high volume clients to accomplish organic growth and long-term company objectives

Listing of products

Serve as the contact point for key customers and internal teams

Resolve customer complaints in an effective and respectful way

Keep abreast of industry and market trends and best practices

Weekly sales meetings with Management Update store displays

Return Management

In Store Promotions New Project development and information – Feedback from Customers, Feedback on Products, Feedback on Competitive products & pricing, Store incentives & activities, Competitions, Display’s & Shelf space

Promotions Catalogue

Assist with all shows and trade days

Update call cycles

Submit detailed call reports daily
