Job Summary
Requirements:
Fluent in Afrikaans and English (both written and spoken)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a professional services environment, preferably as a Company Secretary (COSEC)
Relevant qualification in company secretarial practice, law, or related field will be an advantage
Strong working knowledge of the Companies Act and Trusts Act
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience with Greatsoft software is beneficial but not mandatory
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with the Companies Act and Trusts Act requirements
Maintain and manage statutory registers and records accurately
Prepare and file statutory returns and annual compliance documents
Assist with board meeting preparations, including agendas, minutes, and resolutions
Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors as required
Support the team with general company secretarial and administrative duties
Use company secretarial software (e.g., Greatsoft) to manage compliance tasks (training can be provided if needed)
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in both Afrikaans and English
