Description
A permanent vacancy exists for a Senior Financial Accountant CA(SA) at the Financial Services Centre based at Life Healthcare Head Office in Dunkeld, reporting to the Finance Manager: Income & Expenses. The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance and management of the accounting processes to achieve compliance, standardisation and efficiency in the function, including but not limited to borrowings and Head Office IT packs.
Critical Outputs
Monitoring of Head Office IT income and expenses against budget and understand reasons for variances
Preparation / review of supporting schedules to monthly IT management accounts
Preparation / review of board IT packs
Responsible for accurate accounting of borrowings and finance costs – internal and external – and the timeous payment thereof including compliance with agreements
Staff management of at least three
Assistance during annual budget process for Head Office IT expenditure and group finance income / cost
Preparation of audit schedules for borrowings and finance income / cost
Responsible for reviewing of accounting reconciliations and resolving of reconciling items in relevant accounting process
Assist the Business in accounting related issues
Attending to customers (Admin Managers/Management/Colleagues) queries and promoting a high level of customer service
Assisting internal and external auditors
Constantly striving to improve working methods to improve standardisation and efficiencies
Manage ad hoc projects
Requirements
CA (SA) is required
At least 4 years relevant commercial/finance post articles experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is critical with advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables and basic macros)
SAP experience an advantage
Training and influential skills
