Senior Leather Machinist/Sample Machinist

Location: Umhlanga / Cornubia, KZN

Position Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Key Requirements:

Minimum 5+ years of experience stitching genuine leather goods (handbags, luggage, small leather goods, or heavy upholstery).

High proficiency on walking-foot industrial sewing machines (flatbed & cylinder arm).

Demonstrated experience with leather skiving (Harrison 801 / Fortuna or similar) and edge-beveling.

Strong material handling skills for thick-gauge threads, heavy full-grain leathers, and lining assemblies.

Ability to work directly from cut panels, tech packs, and sample patterns with minimal supervision.

Knowledge of machine maintenance (tension adjustment, needle replacement, oiling).
