The Department of Biomedical Sciences in the Faculty of Science has a permanent position of Senior
Lecturer at the Arcadia Campus.
Key performance areas/Core functions:
• Lecturing theory and practical’s at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Lecturing and Leading Research modules in the department from 1st to 4th year level for
undergraduate students
• Supervision of undegraduate and postgraduate students
• Seek competitive research funding from external sources
• Develop relationships with government, industry organizations, professional associations.
• Enhancing personal as well as participating in departmental research projects and
publications
• Performing departmental, programme and/or faculty administrative duties as per delegation by
the Head of Department.
1. Academic qualifications:
PhD or D.Tech in Health Sciences field specifically related to Clinical and Radiography
2. Experience:
Minimum three years’ lecturing experience at lecturer level
Experience in producing and evaluating research proposals and supervision of undergraduate
and postgraduate students
Experience and establishment of research in Health Sciences both quantitative and qualitative.
3. Knowledge and Skills
Management skills;
The ability to develop relationships with government, industry organizations, professional
associations and the veterinary laboratory industry;
Subject knowledge: Multi-disciplined
Appropriate language and communication skills
