A vacancy exists for a Stores Assistant at Life Wilgeheuwel Hospital, reporting to the Senior Stock Controller. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective functioning and co-ordination of stock for all the wards in the hospital.

Critical Outputs
Process ward and theatre stock requisitions, as well as completion of credits daily.
Performing cycle counts and stock takes as well as capturing stock takes and investigating variances.
Ordering and controlling of surgical supplies.
Ensure accurate receiving, receipting and distribution of stock to the hospital.
Address supplier queries.
Management of negative stock, deadstock and overstocked items.
Perform stock rotation and expiry date checks of all stock items.
Maintaining stats and general administrative functions as requested.

Requirements

Matriculant (Grade 12)
Relevant experience in stock control, SAP experience would be advantageous
Ability to communicate effectively
Computer literacy
Available to work overtime, afterhours and weekends as required according to the rosters.
Ability to carry and lift heavy boxes
Responsible and mature, team player, reliable and trustworthy
Good inter-personal skills. Must be customer orientated with a commitment towards continuous improvement.
Candidate will need to be self-motivated and self-disciplined. Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
Previous hospital experience will be advantageous
