Description

This is a full-time, on-site Turner role based in Durban. The Turner will be responsible for operating and maintaining lathes and other machinery to shape and fabricate components.

Key daily tasks include interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools and materials, carrying out precise machining operations, conducting quality checks, and adhering to safety standards.

The Turner will also collaborate with team members to meet production objectives and ensure the delivery of high-quality products.

Qualifications

Proficiency in operating lathes, milling machines, and other machining tools
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Skills in precision machining techniques and quality checking
Strong understanding of safety standards and equipment maintenance procedures
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Relevant technical education or certification in machining or engineering
Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
