WANTED: EXPERIENCED WELDER – MIG & ARC

Location: Stikland, Cape Town, Western Cape

Position: Full-Time Welder

Established Tail-Lift engineering and manufacturing company looking for
a skilled, reliable and experienced Welder to join our team.

REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience in MIG welding.
Proficient in Arc welding.
Ability to produce neat, strong and high-quality welds.
Good measuring, fitting and fabrication skills.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Mechanically minded with good attention to detail.
Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious.

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS

Experience in any of the following will be an added advantage:

MIG aluminium welding.
Laser welding.
TIG welding.
Stainless steel welding.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
General metal fabrication and fitting.

DUTIES

MIG and Arc welding of steel components.
Welding, fitting and fabrication of engineering components.
Preparing, grinding and finishing welded components.
Ensuring all work meets the required quality standards.
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for a hands-on, practical person, of sober habits, who takes pride in their workmanship and can produce quality work with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate must also:

Be able to ride and operate a motorbike confidently. (License not required)
Complete all required paperwork accurately, clearly and concisely.
Be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Be reliable, adaptable and comfortable working in a hands-on fleet
maintenance environment around trucks, trailers and heavy vehicles.
Demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a commitment to quality and, safety.

SALARY
Negotiable, depending on experience and skill level.
