We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join our management team as a Duty Manager.
This position is available exclusively to members who have demonstrated strong leadership skills, operational knowledge, integrity, honest, loyal, resourceful, diligent, efficient, reliable, committed, productive, organized, proactive, professional, positive and passionate to delivering exceptional guest experiences that is customer-focused.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily hotel operations during your shift, ensuring smooth service across all departments.
• Manage guest relations, handle complaints professionally, and ensure service recovery where required.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and Maintenance to maintain operational excellence.
• Ensure safety, security, and cleanliness standards are upheld.
• Lead and support staff on shift, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
• Complete shift reports and handovers accurately.
• Be an ambassador of THE Pretoria Hotel in every action they take to ensure business growth and building the brand.
Requirements:
• Proven hospitality experience.
• At least 1 year Hotel receptionist experience
• Full knowledge of the hotel software system Hotsoft
• Excellent communicator
• Excellent timekeeping record
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• In-depth knowledge of hotel operations will be an advantage.
