Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bakery Manager to lead our bakery department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily bakery operations, ensuring high product quality, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the bakery department.
Supervise, train, and motivate bakery staff.
Ensure consistent production of high-quality baked goods.
Monitor stock levels, ordering, and inventory control.
Maintain hygiene, food safety, and health regulations.
Control wastage and manage departmental costs.
Ensure attractive product displays and merchandising.
Meet sales targets and drive profitability.
Requirements
Previous bakery management or supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of bakery production processes.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Good planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Matric (Grade 12); relevant bakery or management qualifications will be advantageous.
