A5 Group Holdings is looking for a committed, suitably qualified and experienced individual to fill
the position of a Junior PHP developer, the successful candidate will be based in our
Head office in Mobeni Jacobs.

The ideal candidate should be able to fulfil the below responsibilities and possess the following skills
and requirements:

Key responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain internal intranet websites and web-based tools

Translate business requirements into functional, user-friendly solutions

Develop database-driven features for data retrieval, storage, reporting, and
updates

Write clean, reusable PHP code (backend + frontend integration where needed)

Maintain and improve existing systems (performance, usability, reliability,
security)

Document technical solutions and support internal users when required

Create training documentation and assist with staff training (where needed)

Any other ad-hoc duties as requested.

The Junior PHP Developer should possess the following requirements:

Strong experience
with PHP

Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX

Ability to understand business processes and convert them into system
workflows
Advantageous (nice-to-have):

Experience building internal business systems (ERP tools, workflow apps, dashboards,
reporting)

Understanding of authentication/authorization, user roles, and audit logging

REST API integration experience

Version control experience (Git)

Basic UI/UX ability for clean and practical internal tools

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL): queries, joins, stored procedures.
