A growing organisation is looking for a Junior Financial Accountant to join its finance department.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate, article clerk, or junior accountant who is eager to transition into a commercial environment and broaden their accounting experience.

Duties:
Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations
Process accounting journals, accruals, and prepayments
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Support budgeting and forecasting activities
Prepare financial reports and management schedules
Analyse financial information and investigate account variances
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
Assist with audit preparation and external audit requests
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
Support the finance team with ad hoc reporting and accounting projects

Qualifications & Skills:

BCom
Minimum 1 year's accounting experience or completed articles
Exposure to management accounts advantageous
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skill
