Description

My client, an Established Leading Individual Life Insurance Provider based in CPT
– Southern Suburbs, are actively recruiting for an experienced Credit
Life Claims Assessor.

Responsible for the end-to-end assessment and administration of various Long-Term Insurance
claims, ensuring accurate processing, strict adherence to policy terms, and
excellent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Proven experience in processing Life Insurance claims, complemented by sound knowledge of the medical aid industry.

Claim Processing & Assessment:
Evaluate and process a diverse portfolio of individual life claims,
including death, disability, retrenchment, accidental injury, critical
illness or funeral benefits.

Stakeholder Interaction:
Liaise directly with medical aids, hospitals, and medical practitioners to
gather relevant medical histories, and collaborate with reinsurance
companies.
Case
Management:
Follow up diligently on outstanding documentation, request necessary
affidavits, and resolve client queries via phone and email.
Financials
& Reporting:
Arrange and approve claim payments, compile detailed timelines and reports
for management, and prepare claim data files for auditing purposes.
Process
Improvement:
Contribute valuable input to enhance claim-related templates and
administrative workflows.

 

Requirements &
Qualifications:

 

Proven
experience in processing Life Insurance claims, complemented by sound
knowledge of the medical aid industry.

Matric
certificate and relevant industry certifications (e.g., Wealth Management,
RE5, or dedicated Claims Assessing qualifications) are highly
advantageous.
A
minimum of 3 years’ experience in Life Insurance claims processing
and assessing across various benefit types.
Intermediate
proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
