A5 Group Holdings is looking for a disciplined, commercially focused Sales and Merchandising Co-Ordinator to ensure that the Buying Department’s expectations are implemented correctly and consistently across all stores.

The successful candidate will be based in our Head office in Mobeni Jacobs and will act as the link between the Buying Department and Store Operations, converting commercial decisions into clear store-level instructions and monitoring execution, product availability, pricing, promotional displays and
merchandising standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate the implementation of Buying Department instructions across all stores.

Prepare and distribute clear Store Execution Briefs for promotions, new products, seasonal ranges, planograms and clearance
campaigns.

Monitor the implementation of approved planograms, displays, promotional signage and merchandising standards.

Monitor promotional performance through the required five-stage reporting process.

Conduct regular store visits, merchandising audits and physical implementation checks.

Record areas of non-compliance and issue corrective actions with clear deadlines.

Identify missed sales opportunities and recommend corrective action.

Provide Buyers and the HOD Buying Department with consolidated store-execution and performance reports.

Maintain a central register of instructions, deadlines, submissions, exceptions and corrective actions.

Minimum Requirements:

Relevant qualification in Retail Management, Merchandising, Marketing, Business Management or a related field.

At least three years’ experience in retail merchandising, buying support, category coordination or store operations.

Practical understanding of retail promotions, pricing, stock flow, planograms and product presentation.

Strong Microsoft Excel, reporting and analytical skills.

Ability to interpret sales, GP, stock-on-hand and sell-through information.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly between stores.

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict promotional and operational deadlines
