The following career opportunity became available at our processing and packaging facility in the Ceres Valley due to continuous
growth.

ACCOUNTANT

The incumbent forms part of a dynamic financial team and reports directly to the Financial Manager.

Work activities, among others, include:

Maintaining fixed asset register

Managing inventory counts and analyzing variances

Forex management and reporting

Preparing annual sales budget and weekly sales reports

Interest calculations and journals

Recording imports and calculating forex profit/loss

Preparing monthly management reports and related information

Approving creditors reconciliations and payments

Credit applications

Annual audit preparation

Cash flow management

Preparing expense budgets

Income tax calculations

Preparing various trusts’ annual financial statements and correspond with relevant external service
providers for tax and secretarial work related to this

Reconciliations of control accounts

Reporting of expenses incurred against budget

The following skills are important:

Ability to, within the team, work self-sufficiently

Advanced Excel skills

Precise and detail oriented

Ability to resolve problems and differences regarding reconciliations

Confidence to communicate with all external and internal parties as required

Candidates with BComm (Financial Accounting) and 2-3 years of practical work experience
