We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SAIPA Qualified Accountant to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing financial statements, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing high-quality accounting and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
-Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
-Compile and review management accounts.
-Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, and Provisional Tax returns.
-Manage SARS queries, objections, and correspondence.
-Perform monthly bookkeeping and account reconciliations.
-Prepare budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports.
-Assist clients with accounting, tax, and business advisory matters.
-Ensure compliance with Companies Act, tax legislation, and other regulatory requirements.
-Liaise with auditors, clients, and regulatory authorities.
-Mentor and support junior accounting staff where applicable.
Minimum Requirements
-SAIPA qualification with current professional membership in good standing.
-Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounting practice or similar environment.
-Strong knowledge of South African tax legislation and SARS eFiling.
-Experience in preparing Annual Financial Statements.
-Proficiency in Xero essential
-Valid driver's licence
