Description
A vacancy exists for a Chef at Life Groenkloof Hospital reporting to the Catering Manager. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective functioning of the department and be part of the dynamic team that is continuously striving for the highest standards of quality.
Critical Outputs
Planning and organising the preparation for Staff meals
Cooking Off staff meal (Not limited to staff meal only)
Coordinate and manage the staff dining room.
Assist in kitchen control systems and stock management.
Performing food service responsibilities in accordance with health and safety and infection prevention standards.
Assisting with Main Kitchen Duty where applicable daily.
Assisting with all Internal and external Functions.
Any other catering related duties assigned by the Unit Manager.
Adhere to all Qpro / Aspirata Audit requirements
Requirements
Grade 12
Catering qualification will be an advantage.
At least 2 years’ experience in catering services in any hospital will be an advantage
Knowledge of infection control, health and safety procedures is essential
Ability to work shifts according to the operational requirements of the hospital
Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage.
