Welgemoed City Improvement District (WCID) is seeking a proactive and hands-on Cleaning & Greening Team Leader to lead the daily maintenance of our parks, verges and public spaces.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, leading by example and taking pride in maintaining one of Cape Town’s best-kept suburbs. The successful candidate will coordinate a small operational team while actively participating in the work on the ground.

The role includes:

Leading and supervising the Cleaning & Greening team.
Planning and coordinating daily maintenance activities.
Maintaining parks, verges and public spaces.
Monitoring work quality and supporting team members.
Working closely with WCID management and contractors.
Promoting safe and efficient work practices.
We are looking for someone who:

Has previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
Enjoys working outdoors.
Leads by example.
Has good communication and organisational skills.
Holds a valid driver’s license.
Is computer literate for reporting purposes
Is physically fit and able to work in a practical environment.
