Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Forklift Mechanic to join our technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and repair of a fleet of diesel-powered forklifts and material handling equipment. This role requires a hands-on professional who can ensure maximum equipment uptime and adhere to strict safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Servicing: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and routine servicing on diesel forklifts and associated warehouse equipment.
Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
Repairs: Execute minor and major repairs, including engine overhauls, hydraulic system fixes, and brake adjustments.
Record Keeping: Accurately complete job cards, document all parts used, and maintain detailed service histories for all machines.
Field Service: (If applicable) Attend to breakdown calls at client sites and provide professional on-site technical support.
Safety: Maintain a clean work environment and comply with safety regulations

Minimum Requirements:

Experience: 3–5 years of experience specifically working with forklifts or heavy material handling equipment.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in reading hydraulic and electrical schematics.
Licensing: Valid Driver’s License and own transport
Availability: Willingness to work shifts or be on standby for emergency breakdowns if required.
Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
