Job Summary

Amptex Projects is looking for a qualified or semi-qualified electrician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical installations, maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and related site work on residential and commercial properties.

Duties and responsibilities

Fault finding and repairs on electrical systems
Installation and repair of wiring, fixtures, and control equipment
Electrical maintenance on residential and commercial properties
Generator maintenance, servicing, and repairs
Solar maintenance, servicing, and repairs
Working on single-phase and three-phase systems
Completing job cards and work orders accurately
Working under pressure and within deadlines
Participating in standby when required

Minimum requirements

Qualified or semi-qualified electrician
Minimum 3 years’ fault-finding experience
Strong knowledge of neutral-to-earth faults and general electrical fault diagnosis
Experience with generator maintenance and repairs
Experience with residential and commercial electrical maintenance
Valid Code 8 driver’s licence (would be an advantage)

Proof of qualifications and previous work experience
Able to work well in a team
Must be based in or near Randburg / able to travel to Randburg daily
