Seeking an experienced, motivated Farm Manager to join our family farming business in the Eastern Cape.

The successful candidate will be responsible for daily management and development of a diverse farming operation, including livestock enterprises and infrastructures. Our farming approach emphasizes sound agricultural principles, responsible stewardship of natural resources and a commitment to continual Improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage all aspects of cattle, sheep, goat production, including husbandry, breeding programs, animal health + recording keeping.

Management of grazing systems aimed at optimizing livestock performance and veld condition.

Co-ordinate and supervise holistic poultry enterprises, ensuring high standards of egg production and animal welfare.

Oversee the general management and care of horses and property.

Support wildlife and game management activities were required.

Lead, supervise and motivate staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork and respect.

Manage staff administration with farm accountant - payroll, staff welfare, procurement of supplies and coordination of town trips etc

Maintain Farm infrastructure, including fencing, water systems, handling facilities and equipment.

Work closely with ownership to develop annual farm management plans and maintain priorities list of infrastructure, operational and improvement projects, ensuring effective implementation and progress monitoring.

Monitor livestock performance and implement practices that support productivity and long-term sustainability.

Maintain accurate production, financial and operational records.

Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Relevant agricultural qualification and/or substantial practical experience.

Proven experience managing livestock

Competence in staff supervision/admin

Computer literacy, GIS capability and maintain digital records.

Valid drivers licence

Traceable references.
