Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Full management of Lucerne crop production across 104 hectares
Irrigation system management (7 centre pivot points)
Planting, cutting, baling and storage operations
Labour management and skills transfer
Production record keeping and reporting
Liaison with management, offtakers and government stakeholders
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
BSc Agriculture / BTech Agriculture / National Diploma in Agriculture (Plant Production, Agronomy or Crop Science) NQF Level 6 minimum; OR
NQF Level 4/5 agricultural certificate with minimum 5 years commercial crop/pasture farming experience
Proven Lucerne or pasture crop production experience (essential)
Centre pivot irrigation management experience (advantageous)
Valid South African drivers licence
South African citizen government/parastatal employees not eligible
Willing to relocate to Fochville, Gauteng (relocation support provided)
