Location: Cape Town

We are looking for an experienced Fibre Project Manager to join our team and oversee the successful planning, coordination and completion of fibre infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage fibre infrastructure projects from planning through to completion
Coordinate project teams, subcontractors and site activities
Ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines and budgets
Manage daily project progress and provide regular updates to management
Liaise with clients, municipalities and other relevant stakeholders
Ensure all work is completed according to client specifications and required standards
Monitor quality, productivity and project performance
Manage materials, equipment and resources required for projects
Identify and resolve project delays, challenges and site issues
Ensure all project documentation and records are maintained accurately
Monitor project costs and assist with budget control
Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements
Ensure projects meet Openserve specifications and standards
Manage handovers, snag lists and project close-out documentation

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Fibre Project Manager
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in fibre infrastructure/construction
Strong knowledge of FTTH and fibre network construction
Openserve experience and knowledge of Openserve specifications is essential
Experience managing teams, subcontractors and multiple sites
Strong project planning and organisational skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Computer literate and able to compile project reports
Valid driver's licence
Must have contactable references

Advantageous:

Experience with Huawei projects
Knowledge of OWS/ISDP or similar project management systems
Experience with municipal approvals and wayleaves
Experience with fibre acceptance, quality inspections and project close-outs
