National Logistics Company in Kempton Park is seeking to employ a Financial Accountant on a 3 month fixed term contract

Job Function
To provide expertise and advice to support the development of operational implementation plans and associated service delivery processes, methods and techniques.

Responsibilities

Key performance areas

• Responsible for end-to-end fixed asset management.
• Preparation of the FCCS Reporting Pack
• Maintain the general ledger and sub ledgers
• Perform monthly GL reconciliations
• Prepare and/or process journal entries
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly financial reports
• Reviewing supplier reconciliations
• Analyse monthly management accounts
• Execute ad-hoc financial requests from management.
• Manage and develop employees in a work team
Qualifications required

• Postgraduate qualification in Accounting or CA(SA) designation.
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles

Skills and experience required

• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience
• Must be computer literate.
• Sound knowledge of taxation legislation, IAS Standards, IFRS and Companies Act and company financial systems and procedures
• VAT requirements
• Understanding of the different financial reports and documents
• Customer and supplier related information
