Description
We are looking for an experienced Fitter, Assembler & Workshop All-rounder with proven expertise in cabinetry and woodworking. This role requires exceptional technical ability, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple aspects of workshop production.
Key Responsibilities:
Fitting & Assembly:
• Perform accurate fitting and assembly of cabinetry components according to technical plans.
• Maintain high-quality standards throughout all production stages.
• Conduct routine quality checks to identify and correct defects.
Workshop Operations:
• Safely operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
• Support general workshop and production tasks.
Technical Interpretation & Planning:
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions with fluency.
• Assist with project planning, quoting, and managing timelines to ensure on-time project delivery.
Quality & Precision:
• Apply exceptional attention to detail to ensure flawless workmanship.
• Troubleshoot and resolve fitting or assembly issues efficiently.
Client & Project Interaction (Where Applicable)
• Communicate professionally with clients when required.
• Manage projects from start to finish, adhering to deadlines and budgets.
Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
• Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in cabinetry, joinery, or a similar woodworking environment.
• Technical Skills:
~ Strong ability to interpret technical drawings.
~ Proficient in operating woodworking machinery (panel saws, edge banders, routers, etc.).
~ Skilled in quoting and project timeline management.
• Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to produce precise, high-quality finishes.
• Driver’s License: Valid and required.
• References: Strong, verifiable professional references.
• Location: Must already reside in the Western Cape.
