Garden Maintenance Manager (Hout Bay)

Exteriorscapes is a growing garden maintenance company servicing over 100 properties monthly across Hout Bay, Llandudno, Camps Bay, and Constantia. We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Garden Maintenance Manager to oversee multiple teams and maintain a consistently high standard across all properties.

Key Responsibilities:

-Manage and supervise multiple garden maintenance teams daily

-Ensure high-quality work on all properties

-Handle client queries and resolve issues professionally on-site

-Plan daily routes and schedules efficiently

-Monitor staff attendance, productivity, and discipline

-Oversee tools, equipment, and basic stock control

-Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks

-Provide daily updates, site photos, and issue reporting via WhatsApp

-Ensure teams work safely, efficiently and professionally

Requirements:

-Proven experience managing teams (garden service, landscaping, or construction experience preferred)

-Valid driver’s licence (essential)

-Must have reliable transport to report to our Hout Bay base daily

-Confident driving a bakkie and towing a trailer

-Fluent in English

-Strong communication and people-management skills

-Professional and confident in client-facing situations

-Able to work independently and take initiative

-Able to take ownership of responsibilities with minimal supervision

-Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability

-Physically fit and willing to be hands-on when needed

Advantageous:

-Plant knowledge

-Irrigation knowledge

-Basic machine repair knowledge

-Ability to identify and quote small additional jobs

-Experience working in high-end residential gardens

-Experience overseeing multiple teams and sites daily

Salary:

-Market-related, based on experience

-Company bakkie provided during working hours for operational use

Location:Hout Bay, Cape Town

Working Hours:

Monday–Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm
