M A D Furniture is a small manufacturing company specialising in custom steel furniture and furniture manufacturing.

We are looking for a reliable General Worker with previous cabinetry and furniture assembly experience to join our team on a casual contract basis.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of cabinet construction, cutting lists, measurements and assembly. You should be comfortable working with pre-cut boards/components, assembling cabinetry and furniture pieces, and assisting with fitting and finishing.

Our core business is steel furniture manufacturing, so the successful candidate will also assist with general workshop duties and the assembly and manufacturing of our steel furniture products.

Requirements:

• Previous cabinetry / furniture-making experience – ESSENTIAL

• Good understanding of cutting lists and measurements

• Experience assembling cabinets, cupboards, vanities or furniture

• Able to read and work from cutting lists/plans

• Familiar with basic workshop tools

• Good attention to detail and accuracy

• General manufacturing/workshop experience is an advantage

• Reliable, hardworking and punctual

• Able to follow instructions and work independently

Position: Casual Contract – Work as Required

Location: Epping, Cape Town

Rate: R250 per day
