The Job Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Junior Electronic R&D Technician with experience in an electronics laboratory, R&D, or testing environment (internships or practical projects count).

To support the design, development, testing, and improvement of electronic systems, prototypes, and products within the R&D department. The Junior Electronic R&D Technician will work closely with engineers and senior technicians to carry out experiments, perform assembly and testing, and document results, contributing to the innovation and advancement of the company’s electronic technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the assembly, wiring, soldering, and testing of electronic prototypes and circuits.

• Support research activities by setting up test rigs, running experiments, and collecting data.

• Conduct basic troubleshooting and fault-finding on electronic boards and components.

• Perform measurements using laboratory instruments (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, etc.).

• Maintain accurate records of test results, modifications, and findings.

• Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, test reports, and user manuals.

• Work with the R&D team to implement design modifications and improvements.

• Ensure that laboratory equipment and workspaces are properly maintained, calibrated, and safe.

• Stay up to date with new technologies, tools, and best practices in electronics and R&D.

 

Qualifications and Experience

Diploma or National Certificate in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (BTech/BEng advantageous but not essential).

Desirable skills

• Good knowledge of electronic components, circuit design, and basic principles.

• Practical skills in soldering, wiring, and PCB assembly.

• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and technical drawings.

• Familiarity with laboratory test equipment and measurement techniques.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
