Infinite Telecoms is looking for an energetic and technically minded Junior Sales Technician to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on position combining technical installations, customer support and sales, making it ideal for someone who enjoys technology, working with customers and being out in the field.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and configuration of VoIP phones and Cloud PBX solutions
Installation and setup of CCTV/IP camera systems
Installation, termination and testing of CAT6/CAT6E network cabling
Installation and configuration of routers, Wi-Fi access points and networking equipment
Installation and troubleshooting of LTE, 5G and Fibre connectivity solutions
Computer hardware installation and upgrades
Windows and computer software installation/configuration
Basic desktop, laptop, printer and network troubleshooting
On-site technical support and fault finding
Assisting customers with technical queries and product demonstrations
Identifying opportunities to recommend and sell additional IT and telecommunications solutions
Preparing basic quotations and following up with prospective customers
Maintaining professional communication with customers
Completing installation reports and updating job information after site visits
Minimum Requirements
A valid South African driver's licence is essential.

Applicants should also have:

Good general computer knowledge
Good understanding of computer hardware and software
Understanding of VoIP systems and VoIP installations
Knowledge of CCTV systems and installations
Experience or knowledge of CAT6/CAT6E cabling
Basic understanding of networking, including IP addresses, DHCP, LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi
Good communication and customer-service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn new technologies and products
Professional appearance and attitude
Good problem-solving and fault-finding ability
Ability to work on-site at customer premises
Sales confidence and willingness to approach and engage customers
Previous experience in IT, telecommunications, CCTV, networking or technical sales will be advantageous.
