Description

A Nightshift Controller position has become available to a suitable candidate with proven working experience but not limited to: Available Immediately

Understanding of handovers from Operations departments

Ensuring the correct information has been handover for Nightshift tracking

Ensuring all urgencies are attended to and noted

Ensuring all drivers are fully aware of their task at hand and timeframes to be met

Ensuring all drivers have the proper equipment to work eg. tolls and diesel

Ensuring all status reports are sent every two hours relaying the correct
information

Securing of Transnet container Import, Export and Local container bookings

Posting screenshots if no bookings are available for containers

Attending to breakdowns and also documenting all work done by each supplier

Ensuring breakdown register, job cards and mechanics job card is documented

Driver to sleep at designated truck stops only

Truck stop register to be filled timeously with accurate information

Understanding of emergencies and attending to them on time

Documenting all emergencies for future records

Checking on vehicle maintenance and ensuring all drivers are filling their
checklists

Monitoring depot security both Jhb and Dbn
