About the Role

Cash Converters Balfour Park is looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Personal Finance Consultant (PFC) Operator to join our team. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our store, helping customers access the financial solutions they need—fast. You'll combine exceptional customer service with proactive marketing to drive our same-day loan business and support our broader store operations .

The key focus of this role is to provide an excellent customer experience while offering personal finance solutions. A typical day includes engaging with customers through empathy and respect, proactively promoting personal finance services throughout the store, and working towards achieving individual and store targets .

What You'll DoCustomer Service & Financial Solutions
Provide a high level of customer service within the Personal Finance department, ensuring every customer feels heard, respected, and supported .

Engage with customers to understand their needs, building trust through empathy and professionalism .

Assist customers with same-day loan applications, explaining contracts and loan terms clearly and correctly every time .

Take ownership of customer queries and complaints, resolving them in a professional manner to meet company standards .

Marketing & Business Development

Proactively promote Personal Finance services throughout the store to generate new business and increase the volume of transactions .

Actively market all aspects of our business—including buying, selling, cash advances, and personal loans—to both walk-in customers and over the phone .

Build lasting relationships with customers, encouraging repeat business and loyalty through excellent service .

Operations & Compliance
Complete all personal finance transactions accurately and in line with company policies, compliance, and legislative requirements .

Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and security procedures both on the sales floor and back of house .

Ensure all customer information and loan details are captured with attention to detail and accuracy .

Collaborate with colleagues across departments to achieve store goals and maintain a positive team environment .

What We're Looking ForEssential Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a customer service or retail role .

Strong communication and interpersonal skills—you enjoy engaging with people and building relationships.

An understanding of the sales process and a passion for meeting targets .

Computer literacy, including basic Microsoft Suite skills .

A high level of professionalism, integrity, and respect .

Nice to Have
A basic understanding of the personal finance industry (but not essential—we provide full paid training) .

An interest in technology and new products .
