A vacancy exists for a Porter Supervisor based at Life Flora Hospital, reporting to Adele Petersen, Services Manager.

The successful candidates will be part of a professional team that is continuously striving for the highest standards of quality in healthcare.

Critical Outputs
Effective communication and good customer service skills
Ensure effective call distribution to repartees and management for the collection and return of ward patients
Efficient management of Staff, scheduling & timekeeping on Kronos
Ensure monthly meetings are held with staff, mandatory training and effective record keeping thereof
Assist patients to Dr’s rooms
All ward patients scheduled for procedures are collected from and returned to the wards
Manage daily checking of Oxygen cylinders in the units.
Managing and record keeping of wheelchair and evacuation chair checks to ensure patient and staff safety
Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures eg: Shoe policy, Bare below elbow policy and hand hygiene policy.
Adhoc requests when required within reason

Requirements

Matric or equivalent
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Work overtime when required.
Physically Fit
Basic computer literacy, good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
