A vacancy has arisen for a Regional Nursing Manager for the Inland South Region, based at Life Head Office, Dunkeld, reporting to the General Manager: Inland South with a matrix reporting line to the Head Office Nursing Function. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the national nursing strategy within the Coast East Region.

Critical Outputs
Effective implementation of the national nursing strategy within the region
Effective delivery of a nurse resourcing plan within the region to ensure effective staffing management
Develop and implement a comprehensive education and training plan for nursing in the region to ensure a competent nursing staff compliment, which is aligned to the regional and national business needs
Delivery of the company’s strategic quality initiatives within the region
Effective governance within the region to mitigate clinical nursing risk
Effective business efficiency management within the region
Deliver appropriate information to the business to facilitate the decision-making process and support management

Requirements

Nursing qualification essential
Post graduate qualification would be an advantage
Current registration with South African Nursing Council
Technical and Professional Competence to the critical outputs
Understanding of funding models
Knowledge of Nursing Education framework
Understanding of SA healthcare industry as it relates to Nursing and key role-players
Understanding of operating structures and relationships within a hospital environment
Proven leadership and people management experience
Financial and business acumen
Computer proficiency in MS office
