About the Role
As a Retail Floor Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind daily operations on the store floor — ensuring a high-performing sales team, top-tier customer experience, and efficient workflow. You’ll be hands-on
in managing staff, assisting customers, resolving issues, and making sure store
targets are met, especially in the fast-paced world of mobile phones and tech.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service
Lead by example on the sales floor, actively engaging customers and closing sales
Support team in achieving and exceeding daily and monthly sales targets
Ensure upselling and cross-selling of mobile devices, accessories, and services
Handle escalated customer queries and complaints professionally
Team Leadership
Supervise, coach, and motivate the retail floor team
Manage daily staff schedules, floor coverage, and breaks
Train and onboard new team members in products and sales processes
Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback
Operational Excellence
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor
Ensure all devices are live, functioning, and displayed according to guidelines
Monitor stock levels on the floor and communicate replenishment needs
Oversee the execution of in-store promotions and product launches
Systems & Reporting
Ensure POS and system accuracy for sales, exchanges, and inventory tracking
Assist with daily cash-up and reporting procedures
Complete shift and handover reports as required
Requirements & Skills
Qualifications:
Matric or equivalent required
Additional certification in retail, business, or management is an advantage
Experience:
2–3 years of retail experience (1+ year in a supervisory or leadership role)
Strong knowledge of mobile devices, brands, and cellular networks (preferred)
Skills & Attributes:
Confident leader with strong people-management skills
Sales-driven with excellent customer service skills
Tech-savvy, especially with smartphones, tablets, and accessories
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Flexible to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts
