A permanent vacancy exists for a Senior Financial Accountant at Head Office, Dunkeld, reporting to the Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a specific area of the cashbooks, AR and debtors processes to achieve compliance, standardization, and efficiency in the department.

Critical Outputs
Responsible for reviewing of accounting reconciliations and resolving of reconciling items in relevant accounting process
Manage the SA business bank accounts and ensure correct accounting of relevant transactions
Manage the non patient debtor, head office billing and renal accounting department
Manage and ensure correct accounting of sundry receivables and payables accounts
Ensure complete, accurate and timeous processing of transactions
Ensure compliance with corporate governance, procedures & protocols within the group
Management of staff
Training and development of direct & indirect reportees (career planning)
Manage ad hoc projects as requested by Management
Assist the Business in accounting related issues i.e. preparing reports and analyses of business units and board packs
Attending to customers (Admin Managers/Management/Colleagues) queries and promoting a high level of customer service
Assisting internal and external auditors
Constantly striving to improve working methods to improve standardisation and efficiencies

Requirements

Bcom Hons in accounting with articles completed or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is critical with advanced Excel Skills
Experience in SAP would be beneficial
High performance orientation, independence, functional proficiency, initiative and an ability to meet deadlines is essential for this position as is attention to detail and good communication and report writing skills
The ability to manage staff and have excellent communication skills is crucial
