Description

We are looking for a highly organised, trustworthy and detail-oriented Stock Controller/E-commerce Coordinator to join our team.

This is not a basic stock controller role. The successful candidate will manage stock from supplier delivery through to in-store and online availability.

The role combines stock control, quality checks, pricing, product photography, inventory management and online product uploads.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Stock Receiving & Verification
• Receive and count stock deliveries
• Check stock against invoices/delivery notes
• Identify missing or incorrect items
• Report discrepancies immediately

Quality Control
• Inspect all products for defects or damage
• Check for scuffs, loose stitching, broken zips, loose buttons, etc.
• Ensure supplier defects are reported within required timeframes

Inventory Management
• Capture stock accurately onto internal systems
• Update quantities and product information
• Maintain accurate inventory records

Pricing & Labelling
• Apply product pricing
• Print and attach labels/tags
• Assist with seasonal repricing and relabelling
• Some products have different in-store and online pricing

Product Photography & Uploads

• Photograph products when supplier images are unavailable
• Use in-house photography equipment/light box
• Edit images and upload to online store
• Add product descriptions, sizing, materials and product details
• AI tools may be used for descriptions and image enhancement

Stock Counts
• Assist with stock counts and reconciliations
• Investigate stock variances

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years experience in stock control / inventory / retail operations
• Strong computer literacy
• Good numerical accuracy
• Good organisational skills

ADVANTAGEOUS:

• E-commerce experience
• Shopify / WooCommerce / POS systems
• Product photography or image editing
• Retail/fashion/lifestyle industry experience

WORKING HOURS:
Mon–Fri: 08:30/08:45 – 16:45/17:00
Some Saturdays required (08:45 – 14:00)

Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: R10,000 – R14,000 (depending on experience)
