Job Summary
A leading industrial solutions company in Durban is looking for a proactive Stores Administrator with strong experience in logistics, warehousing, and asset management to join their team. This is an essential role for a detail-oriented administrator to ensure the seamless, cost-effective control of physical resources and minimize operational downtime. The role involves managing stores, tracking tools and materials, overseeing the company's office-based vehicle fleet, and upholding safety and compliance standards. Responsibilities:
Manage the distribution and tracking of tools, materials, consumables, and PPE.
Conduct regular stock counts and manage stock replenishment and returns.
Coordinate with suppliers for quotations, purchase orders, and deliveries.
Perform daily inspections of vehicles and trailers for faults and safety compliance.
Coordinate internal and external repairs and maintenance for power tools, generators, and the company fleet.
Ensure all safety and compliance documentation for the storeroom and vehicles is up to date.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a stores, logistics, or warehousing role.
A valid driver's license.
Experience with fleet support, basic vehicle inspections, or asset tracking is highly desirable.
A Matric certificate is required.
Experience with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) compliance, inventory systems, and tool/asset tracking is an advantage.
A certificate or coursework in logistics, inventory, or fleet administration is also an advantage.
